PITA for mounting in TV and media furniture

I ended up having to call the manufacturer who had to explain why they didn't update the poor instructions but stood by the buyer. How caring and polite, but at the same time lazy and sloppy. In short, I've found better ones at a higher price point, so they'll be curbside. You get what you pay for her, baby

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Somewhat wrinkled

Great speaker stands!

I rarely write reviews but these shelves exceeded my expectations. Although easy to assemble, they are heavy and durable. I like that the top plates can be mounted either straight or slightly curved (like I did), allowing the plinths to be placed perpendicular to the room with the speakers pointing inwards at a slight angle. I left out the included rubber bumpers and instead used (for each speaker) 4 small Hudson Hi-Fi platinum silicone isolating bumpers. No matter how loud the music soundsโ€ฆ

Not cheap but very solid.

These tripods are very strong and probably overkill for my use (DALI Spektor 2s) but most of the less expensive tripods looked so flimsy. I found them very easy to assemble and all the parts fit well. I didn't dump sand in it, but it's good to have that option and I probably would if my speakers were bigger. However, it seems like a tedious and messy process as the holes in the posts are tiny. -1* for the "Cable Management System" consisting of several vinyl tabs that screw into the spaceโ€ฆ

Beautiful stand - be careful with the filling!

Bought racks for KEF LS50 and very happy with the increase in performance. The coasters are stylish and very durable, especially with carpet spikes. The only complaint I have relates to the notice that they can be filled with sand. What is not noticed is that the vertical supports have end caps that are welded to either end. There are 3 tiny holes in the cap that you pour sand into, but the emphasis is on the tiny! I recommend buying the best play sand you can find - after trying severalโ€ฆ

Continuous. Improves your speakers. Fill up with sand!

Beautiful and durable. I ordered the Sanus base series from another seller and found the quality to be much lower and the materials a bit light and flimsy. Sent them back due to the quality and also the lack of parts in the box. My speakers have a bit more detail and a larger soundstage on these stands. Look good too. Use Blu-Tack to keep the speakers (Wharfdale Diamond 220) nice and stable. I filled them with sand which seems to dampen the vibration and make them more durable. Here's myโ€ฆ

Solid, heavy and beautifully powder coated

Other reviews do a good job of giving these speaker stands a positive mention. They are heavier and look and feel more solid than online. In fact, I would give these stands 6 stars if I could. I was planning on filling them with sand but they are so heavy I honestly don't see the need. The exterior finish is nice and the overall look is very much in line with my system (whatever that means. I've had my eye on the stands for a long time and it exceeds my expectations). Happy Filling

These are really great speaker stands. When filled with the finest and finest sand you can find, they should be acoustically neutral and non-resonant "Sand, as others have pointed out, should be playground sand. Still, fine particles clog 3 holes on each foot, requiring constant tapping and poking. It's my ritual. Why don't they both stand side by side on the street. Get it." empty toilet paper rolls." red single cup and slowly start the poor in sanaa in each roll, one at a time. When the godsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 30" Tall Stand, Adjustable Spikes & Rubber Feet
Cons
  • New Competitor Arrived

The stand seems pretty strong. Mostly steel, except for cork insulators under the top plate and thick plastic between the base and the two shafts. Once the weight is placed on the top plate, care must be taken not to twist the top plate as this will cause the waves to twist until you straighten them again. The product is advertised as being sand filled, but as several reviewers have pointed out, the filling holes are ridiculously small - hence the deduction of a star. If you plan to use theโ€ฆ
