Review on πŸ”Š Pair of 30-Inch Steel Foundations Speaker Stands by Sanus SF30-B1 by David Pearson

Continuous. Improves your speakers. Fill up with sand!

Beautiful and durable. I ordered the Sanus base series from another seller and found the quality to be much lower and the materials a bit light and flimsy. Sent them back due to the quality and also the lack of parts in the box. My speakers have a bit more detail and a larger soundstage on these stands. Look good too. Use Blu-Tack to keep the speakers (Wharfdale Diamond 220) nice and stable. I filled them with sand which seems to dampen the vibration and make them more durable. Here's my technique that made it easier: Take finely ground (sandbox) sand. There are many more pebbles in the concrete mix. Not expensive and available at my hardware store chain. - Assemble the stands except for the top plate. - Use a cardboard tube from a toilet paper roll that fits perfectly on top. - Place a stand in a container (a plastic box will do) to contain your spills. Do it outside if possible. Fill the tube about 2/3 full with sand and then I used a thin bamboo skewer to push the sand through when it got stuck so it continuously flows out through the 4 holes. Keep filling. - 4 columns to fill in, so allow about 30 minutes. These things will take longer than me. Have fun while listening!
