Forget some reviews (probably from competitors). This black acrylic paint is easy to apply, thick and even. I used Bates brushes (see also Revain). In any case, this is the best paint for raw wood.

This "black" color definitely has a green cast to it. It's not true solid black. It's also a bit opaque, so if you mix it with other colors you'll need a ton to make it darker, say a lighter color. But the shade of green doesn't suit me.

Price per lot Super! BUT this color is VERY dull/VERY matte color. It's beautiful when wet, but when it dries it becomes very dull. It has absolutely no shine. I am coloring canvas makeup bags and have to use Gloss-Modge Podge to bring out the colors. These colors are still practical for me.

Liquid and thin. This paint will not adhere to new white canvas. It was very runny and watery. The bottle says it's "diluted with water," but its consistency is so watery that it can be ruined. I also bought the same color in white which wasn't that watery. I am very disappointed in this brand.

Love this black color. I read reviews some said it was thin or not really black. I'm not an artist so all I can say is that it's black, when it dries it looks black to me. I use this color for crafts. I make letters out of cardboard wrapped with duct tape. Then the tape is painted with this black color. It goes surprisingly smooth, almost velvety. You can barely see the lines from the tape. It does the job and was cheaper than the apple barrel paint I used to use. I will definitely buy again…

The paint itself is great, it's a true black color and mixes well. Unfortunately, it's a bit thinner than I expected for such a dark pigment (I mean compared to my navy blue or red shades) and the flip top was broken when I opened the package. It wasn't in the package either. So I had to leave a sealer on the bottom to keep it from drying out. I made the top out of plastic. So the top breaks easily but the color was at a great price.

This color is great! It flows well, allowing me to get nice, sharp detail without watering it down. It is super opaque so it can be applied in just one coat. The finish is very matte, giving you really nice, deep blacks. It's great for working with silhouettes as well as blending. I've seen some reviews claiming that it's tinted green, but haven't found that to be the case. It has become my favorite black. This is great value. I've tried several different psi t for casting acrylic and this brand is by far the best. It is diluted with water, which is important when you mix water with paint, and it is easy to clean. The bottle is large, which makes it very valuable. I also like clear bottles so I can see how much paint I have left, the color stays in place and I haven't had any problems with cracking when drying, at least not yet, but I don't suggest any. After all, this is an American brand that I also really like…
