Fantastic product! - Pottery and pottery

I work as an artist in the film industry. I had to make fake bullet holes in a fake wall and fake theft. It worked great! It is malleable when warmed in the hand and hardens at room temperature. You can color it to get your effect! This is more than just a deer game! Fantastic creative substance!

Pros
  • Quality of construction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

This is the play dough I had as a kid.

Grandkids have Play-Doh. They seem to like it, but I felt like they could be more artistic with this modeling clay. I have to help them make it soft enough for them to work with because they don't have much arm strength. My grandkids seem to like Play-Doh more, but over time I think they will like this tone more.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • No Gun

This is a great silent backup for your airgun.

It is well said that it is easy to use and it is. I mean it's modeling clay that doesn't dry out so how much lighter does it get? The thickness is great, they mentioned it so I could mention it, but it's as thick as you want it to be. I use it as a bullet trap for my gun so I'm not sure how it's modeled but it catches the bullet pretty well.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • There are shortcomings

Excellent putty good for putty

I am very happy with this putty. I used it to model a silicone mold applied with a brush. Clay was very easy to work with. It's divided into sections that rip the block off with minimal effort (at least in warmer weather). Clay turned out to be quite soft and very workable (assuming it's around 70 degrees today). I like this brand of oil more than any other brand of oil. Clay that I have used and plan to order again.

Easy to use in ceramics and pottery

Easy to use right out of the box (and even after sitting on my cold porch)! A little stickier and softer than other clays I've bought before, but it doesn't interfere with shaping! My guess is that after some processing the oil comes out. Smells a little. Vanilla? Consider mixing with my slightly heavier tone. I like to use gray to represent both light and dark tones. UPDATE: Just mixed with equal parts "Smart Craft" clay for a nice sweet spot; not too sticky or soft but pliable and with…

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • to blunt

Made my first sculpture out of this material and it turned out great! I only wish I could step up the finished product. Very easy to manipulate and strong enough to hold its shape. I used a different type of clay that my wife gave me and it was a bit annoying because it got my hands dirty and was very brittle. However, this is none of that! I look forward to many more projects with this tone.

Pros
  • Non-toxic; Conforms to ASTM D 4236
Cons
  • So far so good

Too soft in warm climate

I live in Hawaii where the average temperature is 70-85 degrees. This material is too soft and sticky for this environment. It also has a pungent sweet smell. After spending years sculpting digitally in Zbrush, I decided to return to traditional media, so the last time I used this type of clay I was living in San Francisco, which is a bit cooler. we recommend "Monster Clay" hard or medium. Sargent Art Plastilina is a good clay and I recommend it to most people.

Pros
  • Suitable for all ages
Cons
  • Big and bulky
