Dan's wife is here. It is very similar to the button bracelets so popular with children, only two layers are glued together. This works really well on my fine/thin hair, although I have to add a pin or two to the top of the bun to keep it secure on my head. Maybe my hair is too thin and soft because I gave two of these to my daughter who has shorter and MUCH thicker hair and has kept her hair secure all day and she didn't have to add extra bobby pins. These are my favorite bun makers. They are easy to use and look great. The price is great. I am very happy to find them at this price.

I found my old hairstyles and wanted more. These are stronger than the old ones. This is good because the old one kept closing while I was trying to wrap it in my hair, which was excruciating. I don't have that problem with them. But the big big problem that makes these new ones useless to me is that they are so short! They are not as long as the original. Because of this, I can't use them on my thick/long hair at all. Very disappointing.

Bought for my 16 year old daughter with thick, long hair. I saw her fumbling in front of the mirror, took it out, tried again and voila! very nice bun! Doesn't work well if hair is too short or layered as strands of hair stick out (her sister tried it too).

Long hair was really difficult to use. Directions were small, short, and unclear, making them even more difficult to use.
