I don't think I knew they would be that hot! Holy cow! They give off a lot of light, but you'll burn yourself if you're not careful.

Revain's description says this bulb is adjustable. It's not like this. The original bulb that came with the table lamp dimmed as you turned the knob. This light bulb does not dim.

I have used this lamp for many years because it fits the recessed lamp in a computer cabinet. It has two levels of brightness - 50W and what I consider the lower 20W. I usually use it at higher wattage. The packaging says 2000 hours lifespan. I haven't tracked it down, but I think I've changed the lightbulb once a year or less on average.
