Metallic silver finish with shielded white cable complement. Expand USB connectivity by connecting up to four USB enabled devices to any computer. Fully plug and play; devices can be hot-plugged, supports USB over-current protection. Compatible with most Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux systems. Mac OS X and Linux systems require latest operating system updates for best compatibility. Windows users should install latest manufacturer USB 3.0 host controller drivers and windows updates. Hub is not a standalone charger and will not charge phones or tablets. Not recommended for use with USB 3.0 PCI-e add-on cards and Apple Super Drive / External Disk Drives. Supports USB 3.0 super speed transfer rates up to 5Gbps for quicker data movement. Transfer rates are device and USB host controller dependent. Reliable and beautiful

I've been using it for a few months now and haven't had any problems. I've hooked up my iPhone, active speakers, three bus-powered hard drives, mouse and keyboard with no interruptions or other issues. I also use one of the power-only connectors for USB lighting. No problem.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Low maintenance

And I like the form factor

Does the job. And I love the form factor! While there are some good and reliable USB 3.0 hubs out there, this one sits at just the right angle and sits very solidly on my desk! As expected, connecting USB drives is not enough, but flash drives work fine. Excellent work!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I like the angle and although it's bulky the circumference helps keep it in place. One disappointment is that the 3 charging ports are the ONLY charging ports and as most things I charge via USB I also need to connect apps to my computer making it less than ideal. Of course, the remaining seven ports are also loaded, so it's not the end of the world.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Satechi has provided the best USB hub - it's a workhorse!

I like this USB connector from Satechi. I use this every day. (It also fits my Imac). It has a very sleek design and is also a workhorse as it holds so much information and keeps my desktop clean. At the end of the day - I can remove the USB stick and upgrade to a Macbook Pro without missing a single detail or piece of information. Makes my life so much easier and I can also charge my phone or macbook pro. What more could I ask for.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Looks like it's from Apple!

Let's face it. This thing mimics an Apple keyboard and trackpad. And it's great! The only way to improve it is to add power and a USB port on the back of the device to hide the cables when not using external devices. Or maybe at least add power and USB on one side. Disassembly aside, this gadget seems well made and looks pretty cute with an iMac, keyboard and trackpad.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I don't think it's true 3.0. do the work for normal things (headphones, flash drive, network adapter). To be honest I don't think it reads/writes on HD at 3.0 so I guess it's ok. The only complaint is that they should make it more visible that it doesn't work with 2.4GHz dongles. This was the main reason I bought it to use my PS headset with my computer and hide/remove the dongle. Especially since I have to constantly connect/disconnect the computer at work and I don't want to damage the key. I

Not very reliable.: Computer Accessories and Peripherals

This rating is for the 4-port version. USB hub, I chose Satechi based on previous experience. Everything is fine for the most part. After a day or so I have to unplug and plug my devices back in because they all stop working in the middle of a computer session, which is frustrating. Once you've connected your cables, it doesn't stay on the table; it is too light and lifts or slides. I think this can be fixed with velcro so I'll probably do that. The cable that came with it is too long, but I'm…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
