Favorite shoes - my new review

I love my Saucony. Despite being trail running shoes, they work great on the hardwood floors we use for strength training. The floors turned out to be a bit slippery, but give me good grip without slipping.

Pros
  • The Mad River Tr 2 is a versatile shoe that can be worn for a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and hunting, making it a great investment for any adventure lover.
Cons
  • Limited Support

The best hiking shoes I've ever had

I go hiking regularly - 4-5 times a week. I still had a pair of these Sauconys. They were very comfortable and great for hiking and trail running. Super soft sole and great fit. They're not waterproof, but that's ok. I have had another brand of waterproof walking shoes that are not bad but not as flexible, light and comfortable as this one. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • The shoe's midsole is designed to provide stability and support to keep your feet comfortable during long hikes or other challenging outdoor activities.
Cons
  • Limited shelf life

Comfortable but cheaply made

The plastic wrap around the shoe's fabric ripped along the sole after a month of use. Another example of stagflation. Cuts in materials and production. I am canceling Revain Prime.

Pros
  • The Mad River Tr 2's gray and blue color combination is stylish and eye-catching, making it the perfect shoe for a variety of outdoor pursuits.
Cons
  • The Mad River Tr 2 may not offer the same level of grip as other running shoes on the market, which can raise concerns for users looking to use them on slippery or uneven terrain.

These things are stubborn.

I work in these things. I'm telling you, as a person who goes to work every day with a big and proud face, I now walk with confidence knowing that no matter how slippery the floor, these babes won't drop my ass on the floor.

Pros
  • I love the insole and how the shoe massages the foot while hiking. Second pair and favorite โค๏ธ her
Cons
  • Limited color options

Much better than Altra!

Great shoes at a great price! They have a wide toe box, great cushioning and are surprisingly comfortable. Very similar to Altra Single Picks, but better! Unlike the Altras, they have a recovery shell and lacing options that will keep you feeling locked in. I was so sick of my feet flopping and healing in Altras but I wanted a wide toe and now I've found the perfect shoes. I also found that they have better grip and much better cushioning and feel very light. Also, they are much cheaper thanโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The Mad River Tr 2 is constructed from quality materials that will stand up to daily wear and tear, making it a solid choice for outdoor enthusiasts.
Cons
  • Some users may have problem with Mad River Tr 2 size as it is only available in 7Medium.

Amazing trail shoes are good for me

The shoe initially feels a bit stiffer/different than most other running shoes (even other Saucony's) but once worn in it may become my favorite running shoe. They are so light and supportive, I just love wearing them. And for reference I have bought 6 pairs of different Sauconys in the last 2-3 years. Kinvara is one of my favorites, but it has better cushioning and grip. My knees are getting bad so I appreciate the extra cushioning you get from traction with a trail running shoe. Highlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent traction
Cons
  • Without impregnation

The added comfort and light weight were unexpected

The fit was great when I used the external slots. I use them as golf shoes and was surprised at how "soft" and light they are.

Pros
  • A gift for my son and like me he loved it. Nice color and comfortable. A very good quality!
Cons
  • high price

Not this cohesion and excursion

I've worn Saucony shoes for over a decade and have always loved them. I've worn Excursion or Cohesion trail shoes most of the time and have always been very happy with them. I saw and tried this trail running shoe. Unfortunately, there is very little vertical room for the foot in this shoe. I could hardly put them on. I tried walking them around the neighborhood hoping they would relax somehow, but that didn't happen. At the end of the walk it felt like my toes were being cut off. I am sendingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good, very comfortable shoes for trail running.
Cons
  • The design of the Mad River Tr 2 is fairly generic and doesn't have any unique features that set it apart from other similar products on the market.
