Not suitable for me.

Full Disclosure I usually run in Brooks Pure Flow. I prefer a low case. I recently had a bad hamstring injury and was looking for a low-top running shoe with some cushioning. The Freedoms seem to fit the bill but not my feet, the toe box is very restrictive and doesn't give much lift, my feet went numb after 2 miles. So you go back. I'm sure they would fit someone with a lower arch and a narrower foot, the cushioning and color choices were good. It just doesn't suit me!

New upgrades are changing the fit

I've had at least 8 pairs of Freedom in the last 2 years. This is the only shoe I can find that doesn't blister my heels. Until now. The latest update changed the heel from a flexible toe to a hard heel. Now I have a pair of useless boots that will wear out in less than 50 miles. Both shoes have heel plate holes and I have identical blisters on each heel. Guess I'll spend another $100 to stock up on a pair of Freedom 2s until I find new shoes.

The Real Thing on Running

I bought my first pair of these shoes from a custom fit shop so I knew I wanted to order again. I tried DSW but they don't get the same level of quality in their product line. While this list doesn't list the width, I threw in the dice because it's so accessible here. They are a standard medium width, just what I needed. I only do my daily 6-10 mile walk in it so I don't care about the color but FYI it's exactly the color advertised, peach brown. I hope to order again knowing they are correct.
