It just didn't give me the flow restriction I wanted. I ended up buying another product that attaches to the shower hose and allows you to adjust the flow at will.

They are thin and light plastic so I'm not sure the one I installed (green) will last long. At least for now it works as it should. I find it too expensive for cheap plastic.

Yes, plastic is too expensive, but it does the job. I noticed someone said only blue works, but that depends on the faucet manufacturer. The blue was too big for my Moen shower faucet, but the red was perfect. The original faucet's 1.5 gpm was too low, but when I removed the throttle it was too high. To quote Goldilocks, 2.5 GPM is spot on.

Three pieces of plastic seem overpriced. They only worked in one of my shower heads. I don't know why but they kept shifting in the other shower heads so I couldn't use all three. On a shower head she has worked on I am happy with her. This reduced the flow of water which was so hard it was uncomfortable to shower, the water coming out of it was like needles. Now it's quite comfortable, but enough to rinse well.
