These are good pot handles but not oven mitts. I can hold the handle of a hot pot for up to 15 seconds before feeling the heat transfer to my finger. Great for getting things out of the oven and off the stove quickly, but I wouldn't stand there like a statue with a hot pot in my hands. You will feel the heat.

I made the mistake of buying them thinking they would make my life a little easier. They are a complete failure, they are too small to be of REAL help. They are too difficult to use because they simply do not provide effective protection against burns. I've tried them a few times, but when I go back to my regular cloth pot holders, they work best.

** UPDATE: You can stack 2 of these (up to 3 depending on finger size) to handle heavier and hotter items! **Can't hold really hot and heavy items for long. Other than that, they are great! They are easy to clean and can be plugged into one another to save space. We give 1 out of 3 pairs to our son and daughter in law.

I ordered these silicone mini oven mitts to use with my new fryer. Removing the hot grate inside can be tricky when using full-size oven mitts. These mini hands make it much more convenient to hold a stand without burning your hands. I think the price is very reasonable, especially for two sets. Good quality and easy to care for - simply wash in the sink.

I've never had mini silicone pot holders. I've never used a traditional oven mitt again since I got them. They're easier to use, easier to clean, and they work! Traditional kitchen pot holders are so large and bulky on my hands that they are more likely to spill or have an accident with very hot items simply because you have less grip control with bulky items. I didn't have that problem with them at all.

I bought two pairs (4 total) of these to have a pink pair and a blue pair. The first time I used a pair was when I removed the pan from our 400F oven after cooking the bacon in it. I didn't feel anything at first touch, but when I took the pan out I felt a sudden intense heat and I had to immediately drop the pan onto the stovetop. Loved these mittens! That's why I came here to write about what I found and liked about this mitten. First, it's very easy to put on, in just a split second. Secondly, it stays on the hands and doesn't slip, it even seems that it doesn't cover the entire hand like traditional mittens. I couldn't be happier to have found these mittens and am glad an online search engine led me to this one when shopping for my next pair of mittens.
