Various Kerdi products

Good fit. Some other reviews indicate some confusion about Kerdi products. In the attached picture, the one on the left is well suited for fittings (e.g. for bathtub outlets), and the one on the right for shower columns.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Minor imperfections

A useful idea became useless. Would not buy again

Nice piece that keeps you looking neat without a very tight cut but the rubber is so tight you almost rip it in and out of the pipe. I ended up having to cut a slit in it, which defeats the purpose.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not sure

I've been using for years.

I have been using these Schlueter products for many years. They work well and seal pipes well. Don't put too much material behind it or there will be a bulge. If you apply too little, it may not stick well. Remove it, scrape off a thin layer and try again. You have to find a happy medium.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Compatibility

Too tight for IPS 1/2 " -- Unusable

The picture on the box shows the showerhead installed, but it doesn't fit the standard showerhead nipple. I couldn't even put it on before installing, and still more if you have to screw it into the nipple through that gasket. Completely useless. Maybe if you had plain 1/2" copper tubing sticking out of the wall you needed to caulk, but why would you do it? ?

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive
