You can never have many.

I have treasured and treasured my quality hand sharpeners for many years. As an art teacher, I found my students didn't have the same respect for my pencil sharpener and lost mine. So it was heaven to find this box of metal sharpeners that worked well. My students haven't lost any of the new ones, but if they do I'm ready with a spare box.

Pros
  • Office & School Supplies
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Terrible! You get what you pay for.

Save money. Cheap to make, the blades are dull and won't hold an edge even after sharpening, and the aluminum is incredibly soft and the screws break easily. Sharpening a pencil will break the wood rather than shave it off. Graphite crumbles and breaks. Trying to sharpen a pencil turns into its destruction, not its point. Really disappointing. However, you get what you pay for. I will buy M+R sharpeners made in Germany again. They have high-carbon blades and sharp pencils instead of breaking…

Pros
  • Writing and correction needs
Cons
  • Expensive

Good and dangerously sharp but can waste graphite -

These sharpeners are some of the sharpest I have ever used and manual sharpeners tend to be harder to find. They sharpen pencil points to very fine points that can be dangerous to handle if not handled with care. Therefore, they are more suitable for people over the age of 18 than for children of primary school age. Also, I notice with some sharpeners that once the pencil has reached a certain sweet spot, the sharpeners stop shaving even if I continue sharpening. Of course, this does not apply…

Pros
  • Pencil sharpener
Cons
  • Slightly torn
