These sharpeners are some of the sharpest I have ever used and manual sharpeners tend to be harder to find. They sharpen pencil points to very fine points that can be dangerous to handle if not handled with care. Therefore, they are more suitable for people over the age of 18 than for children of primary school age. Also, I notice with some sharpeners that once the pencil has reached a certain sweet spot, the sharpeners stop shaving even if I continue sharpening. Of course, this does not apply to these School Smart (SM) tools. When the tip of the pencil becomes sharp like a gun, the SM sharpener keeps shaving. In fact, after my first try, I broke off part of the sharp tip to avoid an accidental stab. In order not to waste graphite in vain, you should take out the pencil from time to time and inspect it, as well as immediately stop the process. I love these little sharpeners, but I'll be more careful with them in the future. I think the price is right, but it's hard to justify spending more than $10 on manual sharpeners. I would suggest offering smaller packs of 6 instead of 12.
