Lightweight MTB tubes are hard to find

These are the lightest tubes I could find that fit 650B x 42mm Panaracer Gravel King tires. Not many LBS distributors or wholesalers sell them, thanks for making it easy!

Pros
  • Raleigh Schwalbe Ultra Light Tube
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Great tubes, the best in cycling

I've got 800 miles on the pair without a single seal. Many of these kilometers are on gravel, dirt or country roads and muddy roadsides. Pros
  • Measures 26" in diameter and 2.10" wide

  • Repair

I used them on my 650b for a couple of years.

I used them on my 650b touring bike for a few years. They're very light, but you pay for durability and air retention. You'll need to top up the air pressure every few weeks, and if a sharp object punctures your tire, you'll have a flat tire simply because the inner tube is so thin. Heavy-wall tubing can withstand piercing through very small pieces of glass. Finally, you must be careful when mounting/dismounting tires with these inner tubes. I recently had a tire lever that slipped a bit when…

Pros
  • Butyl
Cons
  • Big and bulky
