My deep clay son can cut!

This is amazing! My son with Down Syndrome loves to use scissors, but low muscle tone means he always needed my help to muster enough strength. He can cut himself with these scissors! He is so happy and so am I!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Zero

Great scissors for kids to learn to cut

These are the only scissors my son will ever own. He is 3 years old and the design helps him find the right haircut. This type of scissors was recommended by our occupational therapist as the first choice for children who lack hand strength or fine motor skills.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Problems

Blade size same as children's scissors

The blades are much shorter than regular scissors (see above versus another similar scissors below with regular sized blades) and therefore have the same cutting edge as children's scissors. The grip is good and they cut well on arrival (time will tell), but only take them if you're comfortable with short blades.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • There is error

Best Baby Scissors

I was struggling teaching my preschooler how to use regular scissors and she got frustrated trying to understand the concept of putting thumb and forefinger through the loop. Complete collapse. They came yesterday and it's Hallelujah! Problem solved! My new problem is not to get in her way or she might cut herself. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Scissors
Cons
  • Questionable Purchase for Seniors

Too big for a toddler

Bought these scissors for my 2.5 year old as practice scissors. They were too big for his hands and in the end we returned. He didn't have the strength to close them all the way. Choose a smaller size if you are buying for a baby. They were also uncomfortable in my hand, but I had never used scissors like this before. They took a lot of force to close.

Pros
  • Arts, crafts and sewing
Cons
  • No performance

Great set, buy a pair of 5 " for toddlers!

These loop scissors are great but I bought these for a child with special needs. (3 year old) to work on a haircut because they both has deficits in both fine and gross motor skills. We used them on OT/PT so I wanted to mirror them at home. It's 8". I would say they are for older kids/adults not toddlers/ Preschool or Kindergarten My older kids only used them to try them out Definitely go for 5" if looking to buy Big bonus they cut really well for both left and right handed! Out of trouble or…

Pros
  • Clippers
Cons
  • Slightly torn
