Will not fit 2013 Sprinter

I can only speak of a 2013 Sprinter setup. The kit does not fit. The brackets must be changed from both the top and the bottom. I would try a different brand.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Expensive

No accessories for the car and car electronics

Ordered to install the radio in MB Sprinter 2012. I opened the box to install the radio and after laying everything out I found that there were no screws in the box!

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Worked well in my RV

Best Buy didn't have the right bracket for my 2016 MBS 3500 so I ordered this kit and the new Kenwood stereo fitted right away - no rattling, no cracking and a very clean install. Very happy!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Clarity

Some trimming, modification and adjustment work required

Prepare yourself with a Dremel tool and some trim bits - if this is for a 2012 Mercedes Sprinter you will need to remove a couple of bottom tabs and a few other small parts to get them to install it in place. correct enough to bring the AC regulators back to the same level. I heard Metra is better.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Some bugs

1292 vs 1294 piping

Unlike Crutchfield's suggested piping, this was the right one for my setup. To attach the heating and air conditioning control unit to the radio, additional fastening straps were required on the top and bottom of the panelling. Not to say 1292 doesn't work in some strokes, but if you need some extra props, this is what you need.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Weight

Bad part - extremely bad fit

Purchased to fit a conventional double din main unit to a 2011 Sprinter cab/chassis. The first thing I noticed was that there are only two screws for assembly where four are needed. Then the part will not fit in the dash opening without carefully trimming around the factory frame mounting points on the underside of the main unit. I then found that the float's factory attachment, which surrounds this part, also prevents the retaining clips from holding. Extensive trimming of this edge was…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Not suitable for 2016 vans.

This item will not fit Sprinter 2016. We had to remove all mounting tabs and body panels to fit it to our van. The front panel is the right size and looks good with a 2 DIN stereo installed.

Pros
  • color and texture same as factory dashboard
Cons
  • boring package

Some trimming, modification and adjustment work required

Prepare yourself with a Dremel tool and some trim bits - if this is for a 2012 Mercedes Sprinter you'll need to remove a few bottom tabs and a few other small parts. Bits to get it seated just right enough to let the A/C controls flush again. I heard Metra is better.
