The best kit for Xterra!

I really spent the money and bought this Scosche kit for my Xterra and also bought the Metra kit. After they were placed side by side, the Scosche kit fitted much better and blended into the interior much better.

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate
Cons
  • Quality

Looks great on my 2012 Xterra

Easy to install e.g. B. Smooth surface compared to factory textured surface. A more modern/cleaner look in my opinion. I used the factory metal brackets to mount the stereo instead of the plastic brackets that came with it just to strengthen the stereo and give it some extra grounding. Above. In the end, everything still worked well for me, but I would have liked to have been able to go one step further.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Modern

The perfect kit to upgrade your stereo to X!

Perfect for upgrading your stereo to 2-DIN! I installed a new Kenwood stereo in my 2011 Xterra and this dash is excellent. The plastic is thick and of good quality. The tiniest gaps (barely noticeable) are on the bottom left, but otherwise the fit is stock. I really wish the texture was the same as the stock bezel, but to take advantage of an upgraded main unit I can live with the untextured look. Overall very happy with the purchase (I'm glad I got it instead of the Metra kit)!

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • Some little things

Good fit, soft, best in auto and automotive electronics

Better fit than some dash kits I've used. Although without modifications it is extremely bland. I have a Pro-4X Frontier with a textured bezel so it looks very bland in comparison. But spray paint Rustoleum Textured Black fixed that. Now it looks phenomenal, has a beautiful textured matte black finish. If you try this, your results may vary. The first time I sprayed too hard and completely ruined everything, spent an hour washing the paint off with mineral spirits. The second time I sprayed itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for small homes
Cons
  • With nuances

Good frame with small cavity

Good frame. If you don't have enough screws, rigging is required. But once assembled, it's pretty solid. The plastic doesn't have a soft plastic coating like the Metra faceplate, so it won't chip over time. The only problem I had was that my stereo didn't fit exactly like it did with the Metra. There is a small gap between the radio and the front panel. This is very undesirable, but I put a piece of tape on the inside of the gap to make it less visible. So far so good and no problems with it.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • No performance

Buyer beware good for vehicle audio and video installation

My complaints are not so much about the product itself as it is about Revain. Revain had the same part but at a lower price as they try to reuse items with minor and/or cosmetic imperfections. However, when I received my package, the first thing I noticed was the wrong size of the box I received. Much smaller than my Dash size in my Frontier. When I opened the box, I noticed that the item I ordered did not match the description at all! In fact, the manual I received for this dashboard wasโ€ฆ

The fit was not as good as I was used to from this brand.

The fit was not as good as I had previously experienced from this brand. The listing said it had the same finish as the original it replaced, but it didn't. The Nissan has raised, grid-like spots and was smooth. So not as described but still looked good. The brackets that hold the radio are made of plastic. Not very durable, but once it seems everything is fine. Time will tell if they are strong enough. The 2 din radio didn't use the metal bracket that the radio is normally mounted in, insteadโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Volume

Fits perfectly on 2012 Nissan Frontier

Used on a 2012 Nissan Frontier, fits perfectly (I even used the side clips from the kit that are used to support the radio over the original ones which I removed) . I installed a DIN radio and it comes with a "pocket" that fills the 2nd DIN slot. The factory screws do not fit the pocket holes on the cover. So be careful when using larger screws as the plastic will crack. The finish is smooth compared to the standard textured trim, but the color matches the rest of the dash. The biggest problemโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Security

Not a perfect fit but close enough

I would rate this model as reasonable. In appearance it is not ideal for an OEM part. This part is painted matte black while the original part looks like carbon fiber. It also doesn't sit tight in the opening. There is a 1/16 inch gap at the bottom that the original part did not have. But maybe these are just minor complaints. It fits my 2011 Xterra, holds my new radio great and was easy to install. Installation is as simple as removing a few screws from the OEM parts and screwing them backโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
