Scosche SAHR6 2006 Up Ridgeline Speaker Review

Worked well on the front doors of a 2006 Honda Ridgeline but the back doors curvature didn't play out well. A slight modification was required by inserting a piece of material between this bracket and the door.

The only thing I don't like is that they made it in a two speaker size. This requires an extra cut. I don't understand why they didn't make a 5.25 inch version and a 6.5 inch version

Installed Kenwood speakers on a 2008 Honda Ridgeline. This item fits perfectly and allows for a clean, professional installation. This adapter is a must have, don't even think about throwing away your spare mounts. The originals are rubbish, as are the original Honda speakers. You need 3 sheet metal screws.

Wouldn't give 5 stars but the product didn't come with a top clip that attaches to the door (the original mount has a top clip that snaps to the door), but it came with two bottom pins and I was still able to secure the mount with a metal door screw (half inch long $2.49) by adding additional external mounts. Scosche always make incredible products and these things save a lot of time. This is particularly useful as it creates the clearance necessary to install larger aftermarket speakers in the doors without bumping into the window pane. It usually always takes a small, very small modification to get them seated correctly and firmly in the factory slots, but nothing can be repaired with pliers and a drill.

Fits rsx, fitment not perfect, this cross reference fits my 2002 rsx at Crutchfield, but I bought it here, fitment only held it in place with a sheet metal screw. combined with the locating pins, and it's much thicker than the speaker door assembly. This is how it works and your door will align to it, but perfectionists will hate the little micro gap it leaves in the bottom right corner of the door. I used them to install an alpine SXE-1725

I bought these years ago to replace the front speakers in my 2006 Ridgeline. I don't recall any major installation issues, so I bought another set to finally replace the rear speakers. The internal mounting tabs are easily removed to attach the speaker, but I had to cut off some of the external mounting tabs that are meant to be screwed to the door. It fits easily onto the front ridge doors, attach and screw in the "1/4" self-tapping screws, being careful not to bend them, they strained, I used to clip doors with 80 mil noico back then, so have I sealed the contact seam.
