A good solution for frequently used books.

Fixed some frequently used books. Used in old books to read the message that members, often teenagers, read in worship each week. Members usually take home a book to practice with each week, so the books are used and thrown around a lot. The tape stuck very easily and has held up well so far (the binding on the book cover is very worn). The ribbon is a little shinier than I was hoping for, but not terrible. I don't think this volume is for old books, but it's fine for my purposes.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Great for shoe soles

I bought this to protect the printed graphics on the soles of my 'special' shoes. I could buy narrower tape and overlap it but that would spoil the nice design. This 4 inch tape worked perfectly. It is transparent like glass. The only problem for my aim is that it flies a bit on curved sections. I could probably fix that by notching the tucks on each layer and spreading them out evenly, but I didn't bother. For comparison, the first photo is without tape and the second has three layers.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Will serve you for a long time!

I used to work in a school and befriended a librarian who taught me how to protect and repair books. This was the best advice I received for my investments - I have a lot of it! It was 1991 and the books I used this tape on are still in perfect condition! Knowing the correct methods of applying masking tape helps, but if you have a favorite book (works best in paperback) or want to protect your children's books, you need this tape. Combined with several other tools, you can repair the most…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
