I really like these sponges as I was looking for a plastic free/degradable option that still felt like a sponge. I've washed all my dishes and this does the job. Same lifespan as the "normal" look. However, on first use, a few loose (coconut?) threads/fibers come off in the wash, but they don't leave a residue or stick to anything. These 3M sponges are partially biodegradable and partially made from recycled material. The scratch-resistant natural fiber sponge consists of 50% agave and 50% polyester. The sponge consists of 23% recycled office paper and 77% cellulose. The mop is not biodegradable due to the polyester. As they say, these sponges do a good job of washing dishes. After further research I found out that this is greenwashing and the cleaning side actually contains synthetics and is not made entirely of coir. Very disappointed about that.
