Description of 6 Pack of Scotch Packaging Tape, 6 Inches x 3500 Yards

Easy start every time. Unwinds smoothly and quietly. Strong, durable hot melt adhesive keeps packages secure. Tough 2.6 mil thickness takes on rough handling. Resists splintering, slivering, tearing.

Good but not great or not worth the quiet feature

This tape works like packing tape but note that the amount of adhesive on this tape appears minimal and requires very little friction to apply it to the box. I will stick to standard duct tape for future purchases.

Pros
  • Office & School Supplies
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Poor quality, broken wheels. Cannot be used with a dispenser.

I received a pack of 6 rolls. Two rollers are damaged. There is a bulge on the inside of the roll and the tape will not move more than 6 inches when installed in the dispenser. The only way to use this tape with a Scotch dispenser is to use it for a few inches, to help the dispenser overcome the impact, and then a few more inches and do it again. I've never had a problem with duct tape. I wouldn't be surprised if the cassette I received was a second one.

Pros
  • Envelopes, postage and shipping
Cons
  • Something else

Sticks too easily

I ship a lot of stuff every week and I always need some tape. I saw the deal for this tape and jumped at it. Scotch is usually the most expensive so I don't get it but I always thought it was the best, I grew up eating good scotch after all. The main problem I had was that when I lifted it up to cut off a piece, most of it rolled down quickly, onto the floor many times! Then I had to try to keep it at the desired length and it stuck to itself. I've never had this problem with other tapes. Once…

Pros
  • Packing tape
Cons
  • So far so good
