The core is larger than stated.

The tape isn't very sticky - I was surprised to see it peeling off the box I just packed (and I'm a careful packer). I double clicked the tape and it kept coming off. Also, they do NOT fit in the small red or green mini dispensers found in specialty stores (see photo). While it works well with this type, it doesn't reliably fit these dispensers, forcing you to adjust the tape frequently. Pros
  • Strong and durable hot melt adhesive keeps packing secure

  • Available in black only

Unreliable item, will not stick to boxes

Doesn't stick securely. Used for boxes when moving. Most of it came out of the boxes unless applied VERY, VERY firmly and with a lot of friction. And even after being exposed to the slightest bit of moisture on a cool, damp day in the garage - falling out of boxes where they won't be pressed to the floor or onto other boxes or tanks. I have been a dedicated 3M user for many years. but this thread is bullshit. I don't know if it's old or something is wrong with the production. All I know is that

Pros
  • Rigid 2.6 mil thickness withstands rough handling
Cons
  • Can't remember
