Doesn't stick well

We used this tape to ship small boxes and it doesn't stick well enough. Especially in places where one piece of tape overlaps another, it just peels off. We have to keep pressing hard, especially around the corners and edges, to keep the tape down. We pack the box and leave it for a couple of hours and find that most of the tape has come off the box. We used two rolls of this tape with the same results. We're going to move on to something else.

Pros
  • Packaging material
Cons
  • Very expensive

This is NOT Ultra Grip Moving Tape

What is shown in the description is not what you will get. My rolls were wrapped in regular shrink wrap with no graphics as shown in the description. There was a tiny sticker on it that said it was Ultra Grip Moving Tape, but I know this tape well and it's not. They send the cheapest scotch and pass it off as good. I have a roll of each of them side by side and obviously they are not the same. If you can find a legitimate cartridge, that's a good thing.

Pros
  • Office Supplies
Cons
  • No Automatic

Seems to be thinner than previous years

The product is quite thin and the adhesive properties are just "good". Should be enough to get the job done. Unfortunately, Scotch offers limited information on the thickness of its products on its website. Example: conveyor and delivery belt. But at the end of the day, all companies don't really tell you how strong and relatively sticky the properties are. I'm moving - and have found that a heavy duty shipping tape is slightly better than a moving tape, but how long it will last or how well it

Pros
  • Envelopes, mailing and transport supplies
Cons
  • I don't remember
