Scottish Fine Soaps Au Lait Body Butter 7 Oz - Glass Jar, Scotland Review

I'm African American and I've FINALLY found a body butter that doesn't leave me ashen in the morning. I literally don't have to reapply the body lotion in the morning after applying it at night. Without a doubt the best lotion, smells good and doesn't overeat! Yes I know it's expensive but trust me it will make you want to spend your hard earned cash on these cool brands.

I'm in my 40's and my skin has been getting drier and drier in recent years. This winter I simply could NOT find ANY products that would adequately hydrate my dry skin (exacerbated by extremely cold weather). I've tried many body and face moisturizers, including those that have great Revain reviews, to no avail. Usually they just didn't feel hydrated enough; sometimes they actually sting or hurt my skin, I FINALLY found two products, Kiehl's face cream and this body butter, that WORK. I really…

I would give this one 5 stars but when it arrived the lid of the jar was not fully closed and the lotion spilled all over the jar and rolled up the plastic. The glass didn't break thanks to the plastic wrap, the box is intact. The lid of the jar just wasn't tightly closed. I'm disappointed.

As my skin ages, it tends to absorb moisture. I find most body lotions too light and have switched to body oils which are much harder to find. It's good, packed in a classic glass jar. Not my favorite scent but good for those days when I just want to smell clean.

I was really excited to try this lotion as I heard good reviews about it. I received the product and could smell it before I could see it. When I opened the box, lotion spilled out of the container even though it was still sealed. Luckily none of my other products were damaged. I noticed that the lotion that came out on one side was an orange tint. Upon closer inspection, there were some orange shavings on the edge of the container. Makes my skin silky! Small things have a big impact! I like the glass jar (also available in plastic). but I believe that glass jars can be used very well, especially for the bathroom. E.g.: cotton pads, prosthesis inserts, etc. Small parts that tend to scatter. maybe cotton swabs but I haven't tried them as I keep cotton swabs in their own container. This was a gift for my niece. We both love Au Lait products. I liked it so much that I ordered it. The scent is very pleasant and I like the feeling of luxury. I have very sensitive skin and have had no side effects.

Received a set of Au Lait products for Christmas and loved it. I used up a tube of body butter in a week and bought this size. The oil is nice and creamy, feels nice and I like the clean scent. The scent lingers but is not overpowering. I was commended for the pleasant aroma of this body butter.

This was to be a Christmas present so it was a shame when it arrived damaged and unusable! I'm not sure what to replace it with. Very disappointed!
