It took me a minute to find out - - operator error

I broke the first snapshot but it still works. Once I realized I needed to focus more on the pin's position, the latches were perfect. It does what it's supposed to do for 1/3 the price of a 'real' one, so I never need an upgrade. The replaceable lower jaw "anvil" comes out too easily - not a problem in the workshop, but not so good on the dock. It would be better if it was a little more secure, so 98.5% is perfect.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Poorly done - pliers

Didn't get the "updated" version at first even though I ordered it. The inserts fall out with each crimp. They're held in place by a crappy o-ring that doesn't even tighten them. The vise grips are the cheapest quality and in fact the grips make you think it is a well known brand. For cheap snaps, it works well. It sucks to put up with a constantly falling stamp. If you take a lot of pictures, buy something else. Constantly chasing the drop-down dice sucks. If you use this for stainless bars…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Good tool, good value for money

I recently got a new cover for my pontoon and when the fasteners were installed in the dock they did a terrible job. About 15 pictures fell apart in two weeks. I bought this tool to fix the fasteners myself. The kit included a tool and a set of latches (internal and male). The instructions could have been a bit better, but it wasn't difficult to understand how to use it. Tried clicking on a piece of leftover canvas to set the tool to the correct clamping pressure. I didn't have anything to…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
