This product works!

So I knew this product worked well. This allows my 19 foot Tahoe Q4 ski/fish to start planing at 15 knots and now I have no trouble getting to the water surface. With my small 140 hp 4-cylinder engine. and SE400 he gets on the plane so easily, BUT. I did a stress test with a full load of people and we must have been very close to the 1100 pound limit of people and gear. So the boat was low in the water and heavy, but it still had a lot of power and got on the plane with ease. Towing biscuits…

It really works! - Water sports

Okay, I was skeptical, but I had to try something. I have a 2007 Skeeter SL190 with a Yamaha 150 four stroke that I bought in 2017. It's difficult to plan it, especially when I have a family in it (only 4 people). This problem is even worse on our local lake which gets very rough and choppy. So much so that my wife no longer likes going on this lake when there is no wind. But even then it takes more effort than I would like to make up for. With the SE Sport 400 everything has now changed. The…

Great for 20ft runabout

I installed this on a 125hp Mercury engine on my 2014 19 1/2 ft Sting Ray and it made a huge impression. In the past, it was difficult to get the boat on plane and to keep the speed stable in the 24-20 km/h range, especially when towing a skier. The boat is now planing at a much lower speed, never pitches the nose up and stays pretty much the same at all speeds when I rev the engine all the way down to around 25mph. At higher speeds, the correct trim setting still gives me a top speed of around

Basically a good upgrade

I bought this unit to fix a design flaw in my Chaparral H2O 180. Basically it worked. This boat has a very heavy stern that causes it to get stuck and requires quite high speed to stay on the flat. The hydrofoil allowed the boat to ride higher in the water at lower speeds. The boat stayed flat at 18 mph, not 24 mph. The problem with guinea pigs was solved significantly. The boat was moving at higher speeds at the listed RPM, which I believe indicates improved fuel economy. The most surprising…

Mixed results but happy so far

Bought primarily to help with planing with a towed tool. Installed on a Mercruiser Alpha One 4.3 on a Baja Islander 180. Can't say for sure if it helps plan the boat at all. I can say that it definitely helps prevent cavitation on fast/hard corners. It has been noticeably improved. Not a waste of money but not the result I was hoping for. In terms of installation, if you follow the instructions it attaches very securely and shouldn't just fall off as some reviews mention. To be honest I don't…

Significant difference in driving style!

02/26/2020 Bought because I was having trouble with my boat leaning to the left and taking some time to plan on very moderate impact. 16 foot Sea Nymph 1988 aluminum V hull with 1984 70hp Evinrude engine. and stainless steel screw. I know it is very rare that there is such a big difference in the way the boat drives, but not only does my boat plan faster, but the bow doesn't seem to come at all. The engine is fully balanced in a moderate impact on the Florida shoreline. I donated 1 mph but the…
