Great replacement and fits

You need to withstand salt water and heavy use. At the moment they fit my standard paddle lock well and move very well. I suspect that such a product will need to be replaced due to rust. These seem better than my original.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Protection

Will not fit 1/2” nylon sheath

Looks like a solid oarlock. My problem was that the pin didn't go into the 1/2" socket. They are the same size so it won't fit. My bronze 1/2" oarlocks are a little smaller than 1/2" and they work good, but fit on another boat.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Reliable

Does not fit spares

Purchased for use with Caviness Lam 7ft wooden oars. The Sea Dog oarlock was recommended as a "frequent purchase". Despite this recommendation, the oarlocks were not tight against the rudder shaft. I had to add rubber inserts between the oarlock clamp and the rudder shaft to keep the clamp tight.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Excellent for the price

This is excellent for the price. I installed them on Caviness Feather Oars with no problems. Although it's not stainless steel, the plating is better than expected. The top screw is a bit long and I plan on replacing it with a smaller one, but that's not a problem and can be left as is or just cut off. Will order them again in the future if I need another set.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Zero

Terrible hardware, good for universal joints and parts

Nut that comes with the kit has too much spacer or something. It doesn't pull at all, and I can't even tighten one of the screws with all my might, with pliers and a drill, nothing. The screw just breaks. I was able to tighten all but one of the screws with pliers and a drill, but basically all the screws ripped off in the process. At least they don't come loose easily, but they should be fastened. Very disappointing for the price

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Slightly dented

They rust very very quickly and badly

I will not buy these oarlocks again no matter how cheap they cost it's not worth it. They are made of metal which rusts very, very quickly (if you swim in salt water). They rusted after a few months and rust stains your boat when it gets wet. I have used many boat products and this is the fastest rusting metal I have ever seen. They are galvanized steel but I assume the zinc will wear out quickly and the steel is of very poor quality.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • Not sure

Don't trust Revane.

I bought a pair of oars and Revane recommended an oar lock for them. The paddle locks don't even come close. Not knowing how these things work, I put them on and tried to use them. He ruined the new oars and rudders. Not to mention getting stuck at a lake and having to be pulled out. I thought about the lawsuit. I've been getting a lot of these things from Amazon lately. I find out that Amazon lies a lot and will say anything in order to sell. The boat cover I bought was a complete lie and now…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Oar love for clamps and straps

I bought these for an aluminum paddle and have been maneuvering my aluminum boat near the dock/shore. Although many people are concerned that they will not hold the paddles they are going to use, I recommend securely attaching the paddles to them. This naturally rotates and shifts the paddle slightly as you paddle. Small scratches on the blade surface; However, if you fear this, it is not difficult to wrap the paddle with protective tape or other material. Before using I replaced the original…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No automatic

PRO:1. Arrived on time, the price is not bad.2. The steel is galvanized to prevent rusting. *thumbs crossed* 3. Adjustable to fit many paddle sizes (GUYS, MEASURE YOUR PADDLE BEFORE YOU ORDER!) 4. Can be drilled to add pins to the bottom, not quite a pro but you won't get the paddles out the paddle inserts. CONS: 1. No pre-drilled pin holes, believe me you want that. Fake picture, the attached picture is of Revain, I thought it was a pre-drilled pin hole, it's not, it's a smudge on the picture.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Nothing
