Description of 🔒 Seachem Cuprisorb 100ml: A Powerful Solution to Remove Copper from Aquariums

POWERFUL: CupriSorb is a powerful adsorbent of copper and heavy metals. REMOVER: CupriSorb will remove copper more rapidly and efficiently than carbon making it ideal for emergency copper removal. EXTRACTS: CupriSorb extracts all types of copper, including chelated copper, and remains effective until it turns a deep blue-black color. USE: If placed in continuous use, it will gradually extract even precipitated copper from the gravel/substrate bed as well. DIRECTIONS: Use 250 mL for every 600 L (150 US gallons) to remove up to 7,500 mg (12 ppm) of copper. Use in filter media bag such as The Bag. For best results, CupriSorb should be placed so as to maximize the flow of water through it.

Removes copper quickly and easily!

Amazing! Don't waste your time with products that claim to kill you without copper. Use copper and then that. It works 100%. I wasted my time and lost some of the live cattle. I returned my corals to the main tank 2 weeks after installing this substrate. I dropped this into a small filter bag before using it.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • So far so good

Turned my tank into a green hazy mess.

I don't know what Cuprisorb does, but it doesn't remove copper. This is what my aquarium looked like two days after I put it in my filter. I called their tech support and they tried to help but basically said it was an unrelated event due to high phosphate levels. I've tested my water 3 times, zero phosphate and still positive for copper. I had to do a complete water change to salvage what was left. Eventually I lost two fish and a snail, and the survivors look like they'll be joining them…

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Works in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums

I first used Cuprisorb for a saltwater aquarium a few years ago, left it in until the bag wore out, marine life especially my cleaner shrimp thrived. Storms for several years in a row destroyed my aquarium and I rebuilt it into a fresh one. Somehow I got some copper in the water system, that's taken care of. I keep it in a safe, moist place now as my fresh plants need some of the minerals it removes other than copper. Unless you have a lot of copper/metal I don't see how the bag ever needs to…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Requires a power outlet

Small but nice AND regenerated.

It is very difficult to estimate how much VISUAL volume is contained in this kit. And when you get it, you might be wondering if it will work with an X-size aquarium. It's small enough to fit in many Whisper filters, but since copper isn't that common anymore (even in medication), it can work with very large aquariums. It may seem undersized for many aquariums (you may be wondering if it can even cover 30 gallons), but it can get the job done. The best part is that it's regenerable, so you can…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Without instructions

Effective copper removal from water systems

Effective product for removing copper from water systems. A year ago I treated a small aquarium with copper. I have a small aquarium that uses the eLive Duo filter. Visit the Revain Elive Aqua-Duo Dual Purpose Aquarium Filter product link for more information on this filter. The snails accidentally got into the tank when I was adding the plants. To get rid of the snails I used Cupramine. I got rid of the snails, but now the sand in the aquarium and the expanded clay in the duo filter are…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Good but not great

My chelated copper removed!

The item I received was not the one pictured but I knew the picture must be wrong. The canister in the photo holds over 100ml. I received a small 100ml bag that fits perfectly in my Aqua Clear filter attachment. Initially I had Ik in a freshwater aquarium. So I went to the nearest pet store and bought the only drug they had, copper chelate. So I've come to the conclusion that with this wonderful medicine in my water I can't eat freshwater shrimp. Damn. So I figured the activated charcoal would…

  • Large fit for me
