Description of Seachem StressGuard Slime Coat Protection: A Powerful Reducer for Stress and Toxic Ammonia (100ml/3.4oz)

PROTECT: Seachem StressGuard is a premium slime coat protection product, working to reduce stress and ammonia toxicity whenever handling or transporting fish. HEAL: Seachem StressGuard binds to exposed protein in wounds to promote the healing of injured fish while reducing the likelihood of primary and secondary infections. TREATMENT: The protein active colloidal agent in StressGuard actively seeks out any wounds, abrasions, or places where exposed proteins are and attach to this area, helping to directly deliver the disinfectant in the product and start the healing process. AQUARIUM CARE: Use 1/2–1 capful (2.5–5 mL) of StressGuard to every 40 L (10 US gallons) every 24 hours until signs of stress have abated or healing is complete. A dose of StressGuard may be safely doubled. SAFETY: StressGuard has a pH of 7.0. It will not affect the pH of an aquarium, even at large doses, allowing for safe use in a reef or planted aquarium containing invertebrates.

Amazing Aquarium Water Treatment Antiseptic

I use this every time my Betta gets a fin clip to prevent primary and secondary infections and to promote healing along with Indian almond leaf tea and extra changing water. It works wonders

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Incredible Piggy Bank

I do not know how it works.

I was going to use this to calm some very aggressive fish but it seems to annoy them so I don't use it. I normally use Seachem products for my aquarium needs but so far this is the only issue I have any doubts about.

Pros
  • Weight

  • I won't say anything

Miraculous Medicine!: Fish and Aquatic Animals

I had a black bog recovering from fin bites and every day I used it I saw a marked improvement in his condition. Days not used, improvement stalled. Now he has fully recovered and feels great. I'm a believer!

Pros
  • Pleasant to Use
Cons
  • High Price

Open diluted and used?

I received an open unsealed bottle which has clearly been used, it definitely smells, the consistency is wrong (looks diluted) and the cap was open for so long it turned yellow. do not recommend buying here

My pool saved! best aquarium water treatment

Had to be evacuated due to natural disaster. Took my glass catfish even though we had no power for two days sure they would die. YOU SURVIVE. It should have been using Stressguard and Stability. I had to fish in an aquarium, and the glass catfish is a highly sensitive fish. Lost only 1 out of 8 at school! So thankful!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Modern

Caution in small pools!

My betta in an 8 gallon aquarium had a badly torn fin on one of the decorations. As I said, I used this daily to prevent infection and also to promote healing. How do you say. Good, it worked! BUT my nitrogen cycle has collapsed. I looked at the ingredients and they contain methylene blue which kills the good bacteria. I would suggest that in a smaller tank you should not dose daily. So be careful.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Some small things

It worked very well for our sick dwarf gourami.

Our dwarf gourami suddenly began to withdraw and behave very shyly. If I happened to pass a tank, it would sprint around in a frenzy (think an otocinclus). He used to be very social: he would actually move towards your hand if you waved it past him. I was beginning to wonder if he had injured himself (maybe even from hitting the substrate etc while thrashing around). Well, after it didn't get any better after about three days, I bought it. I put the right dose in the tank and everything went…

Very happy with this product

I rescued Petco Bettas with fin rot. He's had a rough month, but now he's feeling great! He recently switched to his new 5 gallon filter and shed his mucus within the first 72 hours. it scared me! I don't know exactly what happened. but this thing healed him. He also got some very strange pimples on his pelvic fin. very strange! I escaped! At first I thought it was a parasite. Mushroom. I took this medication immediately as it was the only medication I had on hand. Actually, it's not a cure…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived
