The cable opened up within a week of use, very short and the spring was so tight that when you tried to stretch it it just snapped on the cable would pull out of the socket >_<

No problems so far. They appear to be rolled up a little tight, but a little stretch will take care of that. They also seem smaller than I expected, but they work and do exactly what I had in mind.

Very economical version. The winding was very tight, which made the cable not very flexible. The vinyl cover ripped in the socket on both pairs within two weeks, which I was concerned about. Not recommended.

I have these to connect my iPhone to the truck audio system and they do the job as promised. The length is a bit short for holding the phone to switch playlists, but that's not the cable's fault. However, note that you may need a longer length if you use it for this.

The spiral function is convenient, you have length when you need it and instant compression when you don't. However, after the first use, one of the plugs stopped working unless it was "twisted just like that", which is a connection issue with the wire in the cable. I haven't even used them long enough to damage them. Disappointed if he just did his job he would be perfect.

UPDATE - 10/26/16: Unfortunately, I have to retract my first positive review. After only a few weeks of use, the flexible part where the cable connects to the plug started to fall apart (see photo). Any movement of the wire will cause static electricity in the connection. Static is often interpreted by my phone (Galaxy S5) as a command to launch a voice search app. I would recommend paying a little more for better quality.
