This is the perfect complement to Auto Echo. I didn't want a long cable hanging over my car. I love Echo cars, but let's face it, wires are ugly and will ruin your car's clean look. They're great because they're so short. No cable anywhere. When I first unboxed them I was concerned they might seem a bit flimsy, but they sound great. There is normal speaker feedback but to be honest I heard a lot worse. I would have preferred black, but red was the only option back then.

I still use my MP3 player with headphones when mowing my lawn. Long 2 or 3 foot cords get in the way and the player lands on the ground. I like to pin it up my shirt collar so the short 8 inch length is perfect. Since I've been using it, there's no problem with losing the MP3 player or getting the cable tangled. So far this season I've been using the same cable and only now is it showing signs of a broken cable. For the price I will buy 2 packs every season and not worry.

This cable works great, audio transfers with no problems. The discrepancy occurs in the length department. For some reason I got 4 instead of 2 and none of the cables were the same length. They were all within a half inch of 8 inches (more or less), but that could be a deal breaker if the cable application calls for it to be straight to 8 inches and you're unlucky enough to get some on the longer side. I bought these to connect an external microphone to the camera. Unfortunately I live very close to some VHF radio towers. Distorted broadcasts seem to be picked up by these short cables like a kind of loop antenna. I'll try wrapping the cables in aluminum foil, but shielded cable might be the best solution for those who live within a mile of an FM station. I bought these to connect my iTouch to a volume control on a motorcycle/stereo amp (it doesn't have a volume control). I immediately noticed that the stereo sound has become thinner.
