It will most likely burn out my pump.

Went out to check after first use, I can hear the pump working but the water hasn't flowed for who knows how long. I checked the float and it was down in the normal position. I think the ball got stuck in that position. I rocked it up and down several times and it eventually went off. But I'm pretty sure the ball was down and he was still running.

Solve my bilge pump problem

I have a whitewater tank and use a water pump to keep the water clean. If the level gets too low, the pump will burn out. This float switch turns off the pump when the water level is low. I ordered another one for my greenhouse to turn off the air pump when the water level in my swim raft gets too low. Great product and well made.

Fails after 10 months

I installed this and figured it would work at least in the winter. Returned to the boat in March and found 6 inches of water in the cabin covering the bottom. Аааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааааа? When lifting, the chain clicks, but the chain does not close. I didn't even think that this simple device wouldn't last long. one year DO NOT TRUST THIS PRODUCT WHEN PURCHASING CHECK…

Don't buy reed switches, they are much more reliable!

Don't buy reed switches, they don't last long. Also, the reed switches fail when the circuit is CLOSED. This burned out 3 of my bilge pumps before I found out why the pumps failed. I run my bilge pump/float switch directly from a 100w solar panel (no battery). When cheap reed switches fail, they keep turning the pump on until it overheats and stops because all the water has long since been pumped out. Since I bought one of those more expensive steel roller shifters I haven't had a bilge pump…
