This book is great for pen and ink drawings and even watercolors. It picks up and releases concealer like a champ and very few shades/inks I've tried bleed through directly. I love this sketchbook! The paper is bright white and looks great when paired with very dark black ink like Sailor's.

Fast delivery, product meets the requirements. Strong binding, comfortable touch, the paper's teeth are very smooth. The ink does not bleed across the paper. It's a bit flimsy though, so I'd recommend putting heavier paper behind the page you're working on if you don't want the marks to bleed through two new pages. Otherwise, this is my favorite sketchbook.

This album (almost) 10"x10" is my SUPER FAVORITE book. The paper is strong enough for mixed media and is stapled. And it's 190 thick pages. I'll be coming back to that for my new sketchbook - and I have another where I'm working on additional painting experiments in my home studio. I've already looked through 4 large square books, 2 or 3 medium sized books and one small. I switch to other sizes and brands for a change, but this is still my favorite. I'm new to sketchbooks but I was looking for something with paper that works on different media and in a larger format. The Seawhite and Brighton albums do just that. I like the 10" square format - it gives me a lot more freedom than the A5 albums that seem to be so common. The book is sturdy and well made - the pages are crisp white with a little bit of serration (which I really like - not as smooth as moleskin) - and it stays almost completely flat when opened. So far the paper has been great
