The Secure 14CSET-5 Chair Exit Alarm Set (U.S. PATENT NO. 6,847,301) protects fall-risk individuals by alerting caregivers when a patient or loved one attempts to exit a chair - Alarm will sound as soon as pressure is released from the chair sensor pad - Alarm will automatically reset when pressure is reapplied to chair sensor pad, or alarm can be reset using the three-push reset feature. SUA-120 tamper-resistant alarm monitor volume is adjustable from 80-120 dB, features two alert tones, and is covered by a one year full replacement warranty - Batteries included. Ultra-thin 12"x12" chair sensor pad is latex-free, incontinent-proof, can be folded without damage, and features a metal connecting pin that will not break (all other brands have plastic connectors that are easily breakable). Alarm monitor can be connected to a standard nurse call system to alert nursing staff of unsafe egress (Must use optional Nurse Call Cable. Noise Warning Seat Cushion

My mother thinks she can walk on her own. When she gets up it beeps and that lets me know she's trying to get up and I can stop her from hurting herself.

Not working brand new out of the box and no batteries (as advertised)

If I could give this 0 stars I would be buying this for my mom who lives out of state. She waited a month for me to settle in town once. I'm out of the returns window otherwise it would have been sent back. It doesn't reset as instructed and is constantly interfering regardless of movement. Do not buy this item! I will try to work with the company to find a replacement.

Would love to read reviews before purchasing.

I was very disappointed with this product. I assumed that for the price paid I was getting the quality I deserved. Despite all the instructions, the alarm clock is very difficult to switch off. It is enough to react anxiously to a fall-prone person who insists on risky steps. The last thing you want is for the alarm to go off while you're trying to deal with that person and then they're trying to help you disarm them and you have to try and reason with them when the alarm goes off.
