Saltwater will not rust on these

Some of these were used on our skis for saltwater anchoring. No sign of corrosion for several months. In most cases, they are washed off by the end of the day and sometimes linger for a week before taking the salt bath again. There has to be something in 300 series stainless steel to handle it.

Pros
  • tools and housewares
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

I still can't believe how difficult it was to just unpack this humble item. Apparently they first wrap the entire carbine in shrink wrap and completely encase it in some sort of tight-fitting, extremely flexible plastic. THEN stick it back onto the cardboard backing/label. Once I managed to remove it from the cardboard, the process of removing all the plastic from the object itself began. I've endured broken nails, paper cuts, pinched fingers, and snips in my attempts to get the thing out of…

  • Garage Storage
