Very versatile. You can remove the metal insert and mix and match colors. I like to take the insert out after pushing the wires in, and then solder it, put it back in the case and latch it. You can file the insert gap to fit any wire size (within certain limits). I used them a long time ago and was glad to find them again. Many devices on the market today cannot be modified for such custom installations. I'm glad they still exist.

I am very pleased with these connectors and expect them to last a long time. They work exactly as they should when I crimp them with pliers over the cable I'm plugging in. I should note that I was trying to use one on a cable that was a few gauges smaller and the wire wasn't making contact with the metal in the connector. Make sure you use the right caliber! I was able to install on the wire with my fingers and loosen and remove with my fingers. Using the wrong plug on a correctly sized cable can cause problems, but this is not a problem with the product.
