Sennelier Wood Half Stick Pastels Review

For the price I paid I am very upset about the quality of the box and its poor condition. So I'm deducting 4 stars. The inner hinges were broken. One of the outer lid flaps broke off when I opened the box in my hand. I saw a large dent in one of the bottom corners like the box had fallen. The entire interior was covered in pastel dust (actually dirty) and some of the pastels were broken. I had to search other websites to see the color scheme in this set so I am attaching a picture. This is a beautiful set of high quality pastels, very creamy texture with great blending. Some colors are a little crumbly, but keep in mind that the purer the color pigments, the more crumbly the pastel will be. Apply a harder pastel to them for a good result.

Rich in pigment and nestled in their own foam tray in a beautiful case. You lie down in SATURATED color. The set has a beautiful color palette. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars was the color chart included - neither half of the stick has a color ID and I would have trouble matching it to the appropriate reorder number.

I received the box and faced the same problem as the other reviewer: when I opened the box the small pin holding the smaller shelf fell endured. and this shelf just hung in a drawer. Luckily, having read the same issue with other reviewers, I was already prepared for this to happen, so at least my halves of the stick didn't fall out everywhere. The halves look normal, no damage.
