I like the CX200/300 I had before. The quality and sound are second to none. My issue with them is that the connector is very short (the bottom of the 90 degree plastic is almost flush with the metal connector). I was going to use it on my phone which has a protective case but the 90 degree connector touches the case before fully connecting. The CX300 II connector leaves a gap of about 1/8 inch, while the CX200 leaves about 1/4 inch. I can still use them with my laptop, but that wasn't planned.

Cons
  • Something different

I like the sound quality for my music taste. They have a "happy" sound signature - nice bass (not muddy), mids are slightly muffled, and highs are clear. The reason I gave these headphones 3 stars is the quality of the rubber. After about 4-6 months of daily use, the rubber material on the top half (where the ear pads attach) started to wear out. It has lost its strength and solid shape. A red oily liquid also came out. After a few months, this problem started to bother me, so I tore off the…

What a disappointment!

I'm a big Sennheiser fan, I wear two pairs of Sennheiser CX300 II headphones back-to-back - in my opinion these are probably the best headphones for the price I've tried. When my last pair had an intermittent failure I had to try them out as the CX300 II was discontinued. What a disappointment. Build quality felt cheap, from the cables to the earbuds themselves, which didn't weigh at all. Lack of unbalanced cables (yes, they are better). The large shielded sound area has been replaced with a…

Not bad not bad Best in-ear headphones

When I lost my last pair of headphones I was in dire need of a replacement. I confess I was hard on them too. As anyone with tinnitus knows, it's worst at night. Most of the time I can't fall asleep without a movie, but more often without music or even better without white noise. During the day I use the over-ear style as they can handle the ringing better. Let's get to that particular election. I've heard good things about Sennheiser from my brother, who is also an audiophile. They're probably

Performance drops off quickly

Good design, excellent sound quality, very poor performance. These headphones looked great on arrival and the sound quality was fantastic. I use this almost exclusively with a Samsung Galaxy S7 with Otterbox case and occasionally with a laptop. When not in use I have made sure to store them properly so they don't get tangled and prolong their lifespan. However, over the next three months, a lot of problems arose: 1) Stock foils are VERY easy to remove. I understand that Sennheiser prides itself
