Sennheiser was kind enough to return the device and give me the .

After using the device for a month, the red LED would not go out, resulting in the battery draining. Sennheiser was kind enough to return the device and send me a new one. The new one has the exact same problem and the batter drains in less than 20 minutes. This time Sennheiser sent me a "HD1" device that seems to work fine. I would stay away from this "HD1 Free" device as there must be major quality or production issues.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Sennheiser vs. Jay Bird

At this price point, the HD1 competes with something like the Jay Bird X4, which costs about $20 less depending on when you buy it. I bought and returned several pairs of X4s because I had quality issues with them, so I ended up spending the extra money on the HD1. Haven't had any quality issues so far and they sound fantastic. I also buy matching foam tips for all my headphones and would highly recommend them with this purchase. However, I do complain that the battery life is supposed to be…

but not as good as B&W

These are quality headphones but I'm only giving them 4 stars because I'm not sure the quality justifies the price. I'm not an audiophile but I appreciate the quality. The sound is clear. Crisp without being too bright, the bass is powerful without being overwhelming. The soundstage is decent, but not as good as B&W's, but I don't expect them to be. They are comfortable, light and suitable for sports. I don't sweat a lot, so I can't comment on that, but I haven't had any issues with it. The…

WOW, great bluetooth headset music. . .

Wow, great sound for bluetooth wireless. Mostly I use wired IEMs, B&H C5 to listen to music on my phone. Very good sound compared to others I've tried like the Plantronics Back Beat Go 3. It beats them by a mile. Yes, I know listening to music via Bluetooth isn't supposed to sound great, but give it a try. . . My cell phone, I'm listening to MP3. For lossless music, FLAC, I listen to FLAC files on a Pioneer XDP-300R with SONY MDR-1A headphones. This player is a little big to carry around so…

Disappointing product. Doesn't live up to expectations.

I really wanted to like this product but it didn't live up to my expectations from Sennheiser.1. The earbuds didn't seal my ears completely. I've tried all of the other headphones that came with it, but they leave a hole so there's no noise-cancellation. I have to move them around and constantly adjust their position so they sit in my ear, which creates a decent seal. These are the only headphones that have had this problem. I've tried Sennheiser Momentum, Anker Liberty, Nuraphones, Shure 215…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Zero

First I buy and test many different headphones and test them with two different iPhones (XR and 11 Pro). I have to say Apple has locked down its audio and is offering a much more subtle music experience with the iTunes controls. Android systems allow for much better software and tools that work with all types of audio at the base level of phones. Now let's get to my review. All of my test comparisons are measured against existing, store-bought standard Bose in-ear and noise-cancelling…

Don't sacrifice the sound. Don't sacrifice quality.

I usually wear headphones all day. Podcasts, audio books and of course music. So not having a pair is not an option. When my last pair of Jaybirds started having battery issues, I started looking for a new pair. I've had two different pairs of Jaybirds and both became problematic after about a year. . So I had to rule them out. Which is a shame because they sound better than anything I've tried. And again why did I buy a second pair after the first gave me problems. I didn't want to sacrifice…

Not worth the $100 price tag

Originally bought because of the big # reviews and cross posts about quality on Reddit. While the sound quality is good, the price and ease of use are not. The first thing that caught my attention was the ridiculously long chord. I'm not sure why the chord has to be folded in half over 12 inches. Double it in full disclosure. You have a heavy chord. What other users have posted is good for "balancing" their weight on your shoulders. It was very distracting and made me feel like I was wearing a…
