Review on 🎧 Sennheiser HD1 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Multi-Device Connectivity by Kimberly Brown

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not worth the $100 price tag

Originally bought because of the big # reviews and cross posts about quality on Reddit. While the sound quality is good, the price and ease of use are not. The first thing that caught my attention was the ridiculously long chord. I'm not sure why the chord has to be folded in half over 12 inches. Double it in full disclosure. You have a heavy chord. What other users have posted is good for "balancing" their weight on your shoulders. It was very distracting and made me feel like I was wearing a stethoscope. I've never seen wireless headphones with such a long cord. With every movement, a chord can be felt and the earbuds slip out. The earbuds themselves were very uncomfortable, there are some additions to the silicone earbuds - but that didn't really help the size change. They pull out very easily under the weight of the string. Or - you still fall out with every movement due to the heavy chord. The hard tips of the headphones were very sharp and left marks in the ears after constant use in the office. The buds will fall out if you move around too much, let alone get up to make coffee while you're at work. I bought some extra silicone earpads, it seems to have helped a bit. It wasn't very pleasant to spend extra money on silicone accessories just to try and make it work better. I tried running with them and it wasn't the best of times. The chord just booms and is very distracting even after I try to remove the excess. NFC one-touch pairing worked well, Bluetooth range didn't work very far when you leave the room. So again, if you set up your computer and go to get something, or just go to the nearest kitchen - they didn't work for me. They only worked in close proximity to the laptop. I was looking forward to the claimed 10m range. It started to cut sound and quality outside of 1 room when I tried multiple times. Both the laptop and mobile phone I've tried are very reliable. The voice prompts were quite loud (and weren't dependent on the actual audio settings you set on a device, they stay constant at their own levels). Turning them on will tell you how much time is left in the game, which for the most part was accurate. But it doesn't give you any warning when it gets low. It will just yell at you "CHARGE YOUR HEADSET" and it will do it all the time after the first time so all you have to do is pull it out and charge it. It would be nice if something just said "Battery at 10%, please charge soon" and then "Charge headset" when it finally dies. (So you have a good idea of them getting low and can find a breakpoint from what you're doing and then take them off to charge). Not just something yelling at you + constant interference AFTER the battery dies. The sound quality was good, but with one caveat - it works well with Spotify and Music. When you're watching a movie or TV, there was a horrible scratching noise between episodes, and everything I wanted to watch loaded and disappeared. I tested this with two other wireless devices to make sure it wasn't a media player - it only happened with these headphones. So I only used them for music, not for multimedia. Overall very dissatisfied with the purchase. Wanted to try it after a few weeks of use + it didn't end well for me. More distraction and inconvenience than it was worth. Edit: After a month of waiting for a response from support - no response.
