I've dropped it, moved it constantly, always been beaten up, grabbed and traveled with it and never feared damaging it. Absolutely amazing microphone, worth every penny for the serious director or artist! I've had mine for about a month now and have used it on several documentaries in different environments. Since this is technically very sensitive, you have to pay close attention to the correct setting of the recorder and provide wind protection. But that's what you get with any quality microphone.
