Do not buy this item! Audio dropouts, long latency: unusable conference headset

This headset is terrible - the latency means I can't understand the first few words of a conference call. When I'm using the same setup (same computer, same software, connection type, etc.) but with a different headset, there's no latency and I can hear the other speaker just fine. But with the Sennheiser SC 160 there is a 1.5 second delay that renders this headset unusable. This element cannot fulfill the main function of the headset: to allow the user to easily hear the interlocutor. Now tryโ€ฆ

They're not Sennheiser quality, but they're good enough for the price

November 202 Edit: Headphones need to be "rebooted" daily by unplugging from my machine, restarting, and plugging it back in. When I think about unplugging my headset for the night, it doesn't really matter, otherwise it's a short but annoying delay until my morning. They don't have the sound or comfort I've come to expect from the Sennheiser brand, but they're good enough. for my needs so I have a pair of these headphones. Note that the microphone is extremely sensitive and without good noiseโ€ฆ

Let me save you from coming back here and giving a crappy review

So here's the thing. I went shopping and I knew there were a few people complaining about the mic and I was like, 'This can't happen to me - it's just some unlucky assholes who MUST want quality Bose sound at a great price SHOUT so my co-workers can hear me through this headset Very uncool And before you think - NO, it's not audio settings. I sit in Webex meetings all day so I really need a working headset It's a big problem with 9 but at least 10 works with headset Both USB-C Heck I didn'tโ€ฆ

But they work. (Updated)

Update: After using this headset for over 20 hours, the microphone just stopped working. The connection to the earpad is clearly suspect. At first they worked well, and colleagues noticed the excellent sound quality. Read the rest of my review if you decide but I've downgraded this product to 1 star - even with the great care I've taken with them they have failed miserably. I have a USB-C headset for phone and PC gaming/teleconferencing and they plug in and play in no time. I'm not sure aboutโ€ฆ
