If you have little girls with lots of dolls who need clothes, this book is the perfect book. Patterns are easy and can be trimmed with all those little pieces that we seamstresses stick to. I think they would go with some of the great fairytale dolls from the 50's. The bonus is that the author has a website where you can get more tips and some freebies. What a wonderful book! I bought this to dress up Madame Alexander and Ginny dolls but the rag doll pattern is great too. This book would be great for a grandma or mom to do with a little girl. Since I don't have any grandchildren yet, I have to play alone. The book starts with easier projects first, then the next chapter gets a bit more difficult, etc. I love hand sewing and this book works even if you don't want to use a sewing machine.
