Works well if you have limited use.

Purchased to sew a broken strap onto a spa cover. A large curved needle broke halfway through. I was sewing through thick vinyl so a regular needle didn't work. I was able to use a smaller curved needle with pliers to finish, but they bent too. I have since used them again and the medium sized straight needle is curved at the tip. Cheap quality metal but did the job.

Pros
  • Curved Mattress Needle 1: 49mm (end to end clearance) Curved Mattress Needle 2: 32mm (end to end clearance)
Cons
  • Hardware

Bought to sew a strap on a canvas that came loose from the wrong seam. I started with two sets of sewing needles. The needles looked good! But after being inserted into the canvas holes, the needle broke in half, and some simply bent needles did not penetrate the pre-sewn canvas holes. I was lucky enough to sew the strap before almost all of the needles in the kit broke. They didn't have the right tempera or metal!

Pros
  • Glover Needle: 51mm; carpet needle: 45 mm; Sail needle: 58 mm Glover needle: 51 mm; carpet needle: 45 mm; Sail Needle: 58mm
Cons
  • Something else

Durable and easy to repair

I bought these to tighten the straps of a large faux leather bag and the largest and thickest needle worked fine. The needles are attached to a card that indicates which fabrics/objects they are intended for. Depending on the thickness of the piece you are sewing, you may need to try more than one needle. For example, the one marked for leather wasn't thick enough for the repair I was making, but it would work for a thinner piece of leather or other material. Also, be patient while sewing; Push

Pros
  • Note: Keep out of the reach of children; Relatively sharp needles, be careful when removing and using.
Cons
  • Not sure
