Ideal for EPP? Not as much.

Got this because I heard it was a must for English Paper Piecing. Now that I've used it I prefer to just sew the corners. The adhesive wears off after a few days, so you'll run into problems fairly quickly when working around edges or on a long-term project. It also takes about as long to get right as sewing, and when you factor in the price of the thread compared to those pins and chopsticks, you're definitely not saving any money. After using the replacement pack I bought I won't be going…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Assembling parts on a fusible line takes four times less time.

I sew a lot when I need to fuse parts before sewing on the machine. Situations where pins cannot hold parts together properly. A friend recommended trying water soluble glue as it wouldn't seal the needle. My friend was right! It takes a lot less time to put the pieces together because I don't have to struggle to hold the pieces in place with an iron. I can say with confidence that it takes me a quarter of the time to assemble the pieces for sewing. And when I wash things, the glue washes off.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

This is essential for quilting!

Another must-have item for quilting. I bought several so I can keep one with my different types of patchwork projects. I use it for English paper lace, appliqué and general quilting. Never stick the needle and tear it easily when I line up the seams and I don't have everything lined up exactly how I want it. Yellow glue is ideal, it sticks better than blue and moves better than pink. Makes English paper surprisingly fast! Refueling is cheap. It washes off and dries clear every time. I use it so

  • Done
Cons
  • Almost OK

GreatGlue for EPP, but expensive.

English Paper stitching is a trend in quilting and needlework. I fell deeply in love with this zen-like, relaxing and calming pastime. I ordered all sorts of fabric glue and a glue stick. While it's definitely good, it's actually no better than Elmer's regular washable glue stick. This is my favorite because it's cheap and often discounted. The pen shape is more controllable, but goes too fast. Someone has to invent the same consistency, but narrow, with a small tip, with a small tip, precise…

The ideal number of embroidery

One of those magical products that I often ask myself: how did I manage without? and. I will never be without him again. The perfect amount of "stick", you can easily move even thin pieces of fabric without stretching or tearing like similar products do. Also, rubbing the wand against the cloth does not raise its table, requiring strategic placement of all fingers to hold the cloth in order to use it. I'm sure the sewers know exactly what I'm talking about. Most importantly, it will never stick

Pros
  • Stationery and school supplies
Cons
  • Something else

Don't waste money!

I've always used Elmer School glue to attach my hand-sewn appliques. They cost a dollar at the dollar store and are significantly cheaper than school supplies on sale. When I saw these "pens" on one of the TV shows I thought wow what a great idea. I can be more precise with glue. And yes. . it is more accurate. But here's the thing: IT DOES NOT STICK. Period. As soon as the glue dries, everything falls off. I spent most of the day pasting applique onto a project I'm working on (forty-eight…

Pros
  • Tape, Adhesives, and Fasteners
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Glue stick inserts are very small

As for the glue, it works. It's also handy to have in the form of a pin to attach to your shirt and keep the cap firmly on the glue. I used to use a glue stick to temporarily attach pieces of fabric while I was attaching them, but if the glue is left there for a while it dries up and it's annoying when you sit down to work on something and the glue is completely dry. That's why I bought it, thinking there was something inside that looked like glue sticks. The reality is these are just like glue

Pros
  • Glue sticks and handles
Cons
  • Only available in black
