It didn't take long and caught fire.

Not only did it fail in less than a month and leave me stranded on the freeway, it also caught fire. Thank goodness I was able to quickly disconnect the battery. Just not worth the few bucks you save. As a result I paid for a city truck AND a new quality part.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

It was a perfect match for my 2000 Chevy 2500.

This item was a perfect match for my 2000 Chevy 2500 Truck (Old Style). It installed without any problems. No depth adjustment of the sensor required. The car started right after installation. So much money saved compared to what the local car dealer is offering. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

It's not worth it! - Sensors

I ordered and fitted this crankshaft sensor for my 1995 S10 thinking it would solve my no start problem but no change. After a few days of the elimination process, I moved on to the next possible thing, wondering what was wrong. I decided to scrap an old crank sensor from a truck junkyard and put it on my truck and guess what started my truck. The sensor I ordered is junk and not worth ordering

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

BAD! caused a lot of electrical chaos

Thank you! I recently installed a NEW (but bad) CKP sensor and it seems to have shorted out internally - messing up the fuel level sensor, ignition coil/igniter(?) and triggering many other selenoids - et al! I cleaned all bases, restored fuse box, new ECU, cleaned everything. No change BEFORE I just decided to replace the old CKP sensor. All electrical clicks etc disappeared immediately and I will not go through the KEY RELERN process for a new ECU.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other samples
