The part is connected incorrectly, the key goes out and the fan starts to work. Many people have experienced the same thing.

Worked great but I had to reposition the cables for my 125 ttr 125. Luckily the wires were the same color so I just had to match the old ignition

I bought a key derailleur for our Yamaha 4 wheeler, after a month it started to fail, had to shake the key, now it's fully working. i just want my money back

The ignition is a direct replacement for my 2005 Yamaha Kodiak 450 BUT for some reason it won't turn the fan on and cool the cooler during operation. You have to turn off the key.

The switch was installed and the coolant fan would not turn on while the switch was on, but when the four wheels were off the fan turned on. The fan should only run when the four wheel is on or the switch is on.

I found that my switch had a broken wire which was affecting the fan. I ordered a switch and installed it, but the fan still doesn't work. Fixed the old switch and turned on the fan. I ordered one from Yamaha but haven't seen it work yet. I recommend paying $15-20 more to make sure it works. Also check the forums on the net - they also say that those cheap switches don't work.

I bought two different ignition switches for a 2001 and 2006 Yamaha Kodak model year Revain at the same time. Unfortunately I put them on about a year ago but haven't ridden a bike until recently. Lo and behold, both keys work for both bikes. The? 2006 ignition is short. The bike won't start if I don't back up enough. PLUS, the 2006 does not run the fan in the on position. The cooling fan turns on when the key is turned off. Not right. Not happy with this purchase.
