Worked in a very difficult job.

I thought I would break the press before removing the part from the shaft. This separator held up and did its job without any problems. I see no reason why it shouldn't work just as well over time. It is also a good universal size. You can check the roughness of the edges and file them before using.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Cleanliness

So nice I bought it twice

No complaints. Appears to be of very good quality. Should survive me I bought size 50-75mm. To my surprise, the holes are 3/8โ€-16 and not metric. This means it will work well with the rest of my puller set. Update: I like the medium size enough so I ordered the large size as well. It has a 1/2"-13 thread that also fits my puller set.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Protection

Just received just used works great

I have just used this to remove an outboard bearing from a Nissan C200k axle. My slide hammer was too big to fit the threads and I didn't have any adapters so I put it in a press. I doubt a slide hammer would have broken it even if it had fitted. I had to put about 1/8th of a level between it and the bedding blocks to get more surface area, but this worked great and extruded immediately.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Damn good! suitable for bearing puller

Haven't used it yet but will be removing the wheel bearings from the front hubs on my LS400 this week using my 12 ton hydraulic press and this bearing spacer to support the chunky hub in the press. Quality feel - good build and finish, very strong and durable in every way for this big beast and at a reasonable price. If it explodes or something, I'll let you know.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Some bugs

I got my bearings. . .

Well at least this tool makes it easy to remove the axle bearings from my axles in my 1972 Jeep CJ5 and install a new set of Timken bearings. I could actually use a bearing splitter a size larger (50-75mm) so will definitely refer to this company when I buy one. The finish is pretty solid, the threaded parts were very machineable and they didn't break or bend in my 20 ton press, so I'm impressed. Thanks to Shankly Auto for a good stock cage even though it's made in China.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • old

Good storage cage at a good price

Used on the day of arrival. Allows removing the bearing (dimensions: 43X90X30) from the pinion shaft without damaging the roller cage. That's a pretty tight tolerance, maybe 2mm of play between gear and bearing. My old separator could not have been removed without destroying the cage. If you're just replacing the bearing, it doesn't matter if it's broken. However, when there is no other option but to reuse a good old stock, such a good tool is invaluable. However, I would caution you not toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Communication with the seller
