Well done, but that's for the less common "big " fuses.

The tool is well made but it fits large car fuses which are now very rare and I needed one to get to the tiny new fuses in a very inaccessible panel. So I had to send it back.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Unreliable

Relay Puller - Puller

Although advertised as a fuse/relay puller, this tool is for relays only. The construction is good and the hooks built into the ends of the jaws fit perfectly into the relay latches. Good tool for a good price. Shipped quickly and arrived as planned.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

I think they will be good

I submitted this review because the packaging was torn and only 1 of the 2 items I ordered ended up here. UPS just put the package on the table and left. I can't make a claim as I opened the torn packaging and used pliers. Anyway, I think these are good relay pullers. They work great for me.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • old

Not useful for relays in relay boxes like those under the hood.

Not good enough for a mini relay. If you manage to grab one in the relay box, the blades will scrape and scratch the plastic case. The blades also don't fit between the two relays in the box. Even creative bending of the blades did not fit their shortcomings. I can't think of what kind of relays they're supposed to sense, but I don't have any. Do not recommend buying

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

On the way!: Puller sets

Haven't received it yet but I already know I've needed it over the past 30 years of working on cars and trucks and pulling relays with a pair of pliers . Lesson learned. Once you overload or break the relay housing by grabbing and prying it open with a tool that is not designed for this, you are jeopardizing the electrical integrity of all the fuse boxes, which btw power the BCM, PCM, DDM. lcm and every electronic brain in a vehicle. I'm sure next time I won't mess anything up with this tool.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some defects

Works with minor modifications

Haven't used this automatic fuse puller to fully appreciate its durability but so far it looks well made and does the job well. . The only suggestion I could make at the moment is a note in the product description that they won't work with a mini-blade automatic safety because the jaw gap is too big. However, I bent the terminals a bit to reduce the gap to accommodate these smaller fuses and so far everything is working great. I have bought three of these for different cars and would now buy…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Not trendy

Comparable to Lisle for less money

I recently came across two relays in my Mini Cooper which were almost impossible to remove without breaking the plastic cover on the relay. They were so tight I had to cover the relay with a piece of flimsy rubber and use a vise to loosen them, wincing thinking the relay was going to break any second. The relays are in a recessed compartment, making them impossible to remove evenly with a pick or small screwdriver. This $13 tool solves the problem. I love Lisle instruments but for 50% the price

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Protection

You can't grab standard 4-pin or 5-pin automatic relays by the narrow side!

K so anyone who works with relays knows most automotive relays are the same size so why did they make a relay puller that can't grab the relay by its narrow side. These things only grab the standard 4pin on the long shaft, not the short. Given the location of the many fuse boxes, that renders this thing useless 75% of the time. I've found that they're pretty good at grabbing other objects and can use them to pull hard-to-reach electrical connections (like hard-to-reach CATs). or EVAP…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not the best

Disappointed with the quality and design of this tool

When I received this tool right out of the box I noticed that this tool has some rust on the top left corner of the tool. It's hard to see in the pictures, but it's there. I was a bit disappointed to see that the tool was already rusty when I first got it and made me think that if it was already rusty when it was packed up in a warehouse somewhere it might rust quite easily . However, the main problem I have with this tool is its design. It says it's a relay and fuse puller, but the jaw doesn't

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
